Industrial Automation - Master

About the course

Industrial Automation provides complex fundamental and specialized training in compliance with the Bulgarian Higher Education Act. "Industrial Automation" is becoming a specialty without which it is unthinkable, not only the introduction of technical innovations in practice, but also increasing the quality and production capacity of industrial enterprises on a global scale. Students’ admission follows the related rules established by the Technical University Sofia.

The graduate mechanical engineer in the specialty "Industrial Automation" is able to perform: research, design, operation, and management activities, related to the use in practice of production equipment, automation devices and computer technologies used in the automation of various production processes in mechanical engineering, automotive, food, etc. industries.

What are the entry requirements?

Eligible for applying are holders of the Bachelor- and Master-degrees in all professional directions within the area of technical sciences and professional fields 4.5 Mathematics and 4.6 Informatics and Computer Science.

What do you study?

The specialty includes disciplines related to the study of systems for automation of various manufacturing processes and their main components. The training course includes:

• design and development of technical documentation of industrial automation systems and their individual components;
• programming, operation, maintenance and modernization of industrial automation systems and their individual components;
• organizing and managing the activities of units involved in the production process;

Throughout the education opportunities for students’ mobility under the Erasmus University Charter (ERASMUS UNIVERSITY CHARTER (EUC)) are offered. The letter provides a general framework for carrying out an advantageous cooperation in higher education in Europe.

Graduates are awarded the Master-degree in the Engineering field of Industrial Automation and are professionally certified as Master-Engineer

Masters successfully completed the specialty have the opportunity to apply for PhD programs in Bulgaria or abroad in the relevant scientific fields.

The professional realization of the graduates can be carried out in all branches of economy, science, state and European administration, in managerial and executive positions in:

• research, design and implementation of various, automated industrial systems;
