Mechatronics provides complex fundamental and specialized training in compliance with the Bulgarian Higher Education Act. Students’ admission follows the related rules established by the Technical University of Sofia.
Mechatronics is an interdisciplinary engineering field comprising various components, such as mechanical systems /units, mechanisms, devices, appliances, machines and different sets of engineering equipment; electronic systems /microelectronics, power electronics, sensors and actuators etc./; information systems /computing devices, software packages, modeling, 3D design, engineering analysis, simulation/.
Apply the rules for admission set by the TU Sofia foreign.stud@tu-sofia.bg
Training in Mechatronics proceeds on the base of compulsory and optional subjects of study. The compulsory ones are fundamental /Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Informatics, Engineering Graphics/, humanitarian /Economics, Management and Marketing/ and general engineering /Material science, Mechanics, Electrical engineering, Electronics, Microelectronics, Automatic control and Management, Machine elements and Mechanisms, Microprocessors, Sensors and Actuators/.
Optional subjects form the following directions of training:
Students are listed in the relevant direction depending on their expressed preferences and under consideration of the achieved results during the first two years of training.
Throughout education opportunities for students’ mobility under the Erasmus University Charter (ERASMUS UNIVERSITY CHARTER (EUC)) are offered. The letter provides a general framework for carrying out an advantageous cooperation in higher education in Europe.
Graduates are awarded the Bachelor-degree in the Engineering field of Mechatronics and are professionally certified as Mechanical engineers.
Bachelor-degree-holders can, if desired, continue their studies and obtain the higher Master -degree in the field of Mechatronics .
Alumni can pursue careers in any branch of business, science, state and EU administrations etc. requiring a higher level of education in the corresponding specialty.
Skills and knowledge gathered in the education process provide for a successful career evolvement related to design, deployment and operation of various mechatronic systems.
