Technical Legislation and Quality Control - Master

About the course

Modern management and economy need highly qualified engineers and specialists in the relevant technical field and, at the same time, people familiar with the normative and standardization requirements, able to apply the methods and means of quality management, which are universal and can be used in all fields, industries, companies and organizations.

Masters graduates of the "Technical Legislation and Quality Control" major perform management and operational activities that are required for the successful participation of the Republic of Bulgaria in the Single European Market by ensuring European and global requirements for the safety and quality of products, designed and /or produced in our country. Compliance with these requirements is considered in all main aspects - safety and quality of products and services, environmental, working and informational environment, determined by the international, European and national regulatory framework (legislative acts and standards). TLQC are leaders in the country in the construction and implementation of management systems, metrological assurance and quality control. Along with this, they will support the implementation of the mandatory assessment of compliance of Bulgarian products with the European Technical Legislation, a necessary condition for the participation of Bulgarian business in the European and world markets.

It covers the matter and good practices of the leading countries in the EU to achieve "free movement" and "technical competitiveness" through safety and quality of products and services.

Quality is accepted as a major factor in market and social relations. It has a number of aspects that must be taken into account in a complex way - normative base, organizational structure at all levels - company, branch, national, European and global, operational-methodical base, economic and social aspects. Every modern organization to one degree or another ensures the safety and quality not only of its products, but also of all related processes, activities, environment (working, environmental, energy, information) and personnel.

What are the entry requirements?

Graduates with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in all professional fields from the field of  5.  "Technical Sciences",  3.7 "Administration and Management",  1.1 "Theory and Management of Education", 4.5 "Mathematics" and 4.6 "Informatics and Computer Science".

What do you study?

The engineer majoring in "TLQC" with the educational and qualification degree "master" must solve complex management and operational tasks. This highly qualified activity requires an interdisciplinary academic education that covers knowledge in the following areas:

• engineering sciences – metrological assurance, methods and means for engineering, quality control and management, design, implementation and audit of quality management systems, the environment, work and information environment;
• economic sciences – strategic management and economics of quality, project management, human resources, business communications, etc.;
• information sciences - information assurance and computer quality management;
• social and legal sciences - technical, labor and environmental legislation of the EU and the Republic of Belarus, conformity assessment, standardization, legal and insurance relations.

Master's graduates have the right to take a certification exam and receive from TÜV ZERT - Köln, Germany, an international certificate of "EXPERT" in European technical legislation and control of safety and quality of industrial products and "AUDITOR" of management systems.

Opportunities for student mobility

"Erasmus +" finances student mobility for the purpose of training and/or practice in a foreign university/enterprise, as well as activities related to the transnational mobility of academic and administrative staff and various projects.
